Haras Petit-Hallet
Petit-Hallet, like its neighbouring village of Grand-Hallet, has its origins in the Middle Ages. Both owe their name to the lineage of the “de Hallet” who lived there for many centuries.
Recognised as one of the most beautiful villages in the region, it is also one of the most hilly.
At the heart of the village lies the Ferme du Château, better known today as the Haras de Petit-Hallet. This magnificent 18th century building belonged to the Lefranc family, the Lords of the village, who made it their main residence.

The Place
The farm consists of a brick main building with stone surrounds and several outbuildings. The entrance gate, a semi-circular arch, is made of painted stone, as are the adjoining walls. It dates from the first half of the 18th century. The porch is topped by a brick dovecote tower.
The estate, entirely dedicated to the equestrian art, hosts an internationally renowned stud farm where professional riders and their mounts can come to recharge their batteries and train. In addition to this, the owners decided a few years ago to open their doors to a wider clientele. The farmhouse has been renovated and now houses prestigious flats, several comfortable rooms with a swimming pool, a bar-lounge for large events, a restaurant and a delicatessen.
